Engagement Sessions
Engagement Sessions

Your story, beautifully grounded.

A relaxed, editorial session that doubles as your wedding retainer—simple, flexible, and client-first.

$450 Engagement Session

How it works: Book your engagement session for $450. If you choose us for your wedding, that amount is fully credited toward your wedding collection. Your session fee becomes your retainer—no double-paying later.

Why this is client-first: You get your engagement photos with no strings attached while we hold your date. If plans change—another photographer, a move out of state, a new timeline—you’ve invested in images you already received, not money that’s hard to recover.

  • ~60–90 minutes, one walkable area for variety
  • Optional outfit change; we’ll guide timing and flow
  • Clean, timeless color • private online gallery • print rights
  • Location, styling, and golden-hour guidance

Designed for real life

Your session stands on its own—no obligation to book the wedding—yet if you do choose us, your session fee becomes your retainer. Simple, transparent, fair.

  • No duplicate fees: the engagement fee applies to your wedding total.
  • Built-in flexibility: if plans shift, you still have finished photos you love.
  • Stress-free trial: experience how we work before committing to the wedding.

Where these photos live

These aren’t “just” photos. Engagement images often become:

  • Save-the-date cards and wedding invitations
  • Your wedding website and registry profiles
  • Announcements and guest communications
  • Day-of displays (framed prints, welcome signage, slideshow)

Choose outfits and a location that feel like the two of you—your images should carry your voice into the wedding day.

What to expect

  • Guided, not posed: prompts for movement and connection—no stiff “school picture” energy.
  • Wardrobe: two outfits max works best. Anchor with neutrals; add a hero color. Texture (linen/knit/suiting) > busy patterns.
  • Timing: soft light wins—golden hour or overcast. We’ll watch weather and pivot as needed.

Make it personal

Past. Present. What makes you happy—bring one or two things that tell your story together.

Think how you met and what you do now: the coffee cups from your first date, a book you bonded over, a trail map you hike, or the jersey from game nights. Keep it simple—just enough to add meaning without feeling staged.

Your location, your call

Think about where you met, places that are special to you, and where you spend time together. What feels like home? A neighborhood walk, your favorite coffee shop, a trail at sunset, your living room with the big windows—choose a spot that makes you comfortable and happy.

We can suggest pretty places, but the best images come from locations that matter to you. You pick the vibe; we’ll make the light and timing work.

No strings attached

Book the engagement session on its own—or roll it straight into your wedding when you’re ready. If you move, change dates, or go a different direction, your session stands as a finished experience with delivered images.

When you do book the wedding with us, your $450 engagement fee is deducted from your wedding total at contract—no extra retainer on top.

FAQ

What if we already know we want to book you for the wedding?

Great—your $450 engagement fee is applied as a credit on your wedding contract. No extra retainer on top.

What if plans change after the engagement session?

You keep your finished engagement photos and gallery. Because the fee covered that session, you’re not chasing a separate retainer refund.

Can we do multiple outfits or locations?

Yes—two outfits is ideal, and we’ll plan 1–2 walkable pockets to maximize variety without losing light to driving.

When do we get our photos?

A quick preview set within a few days, with your full gallery following—delivered online with print rights.
